A U.S. Coast Guard crew conducted an air rescue of a man on Tuesday who suffered a severe hand injury aboard a commercial freighter 135 miles off the coast of Washington state.
The flight crew departed Astoria, Oregon, aboard an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Defense.
