US President Donald Trump touts strong US economy in SOTU address

President Donald Trump is telling the American people that the "State of our Union is stronger than ever before," in his State of the Union address. Trump is touting the strength of the US economy to cheering Republicans and dour Democrats in his prime-time speech.

The speech comes after the president became the third in the nation's history to be impeached and as his trial is still underway. But he is making case that, despite the division, the country is better off now than four years ago and that he has kept his election promises as he makes his pitch to voters in an election year.
