169 Israeli soldiers killed, 2500 Hamas targets struck in Gaza: IDF releases statistics

As many as 169 Israeli soldiers have been killed in the attack which Hamas launched on October 7, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed in an update.

As many as 169 Israeli soldiers have been killed in the attack which Hamas launched on October 7, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed in an update.

It further said that over 3,00,000 reservists have been drafted to serve in the Army against the attack by Hamas. Moreover, more than 5,000 rockets have been launched into Israel which has killed more than 1,000 Israelis.

According to the Israeli government, it has struck over 2500 terror targets in Gaza and hundreds of terrorists have been eliminated inside Israel. Dozens have been captured alive and detained as well. 

2,800 Israelis injured, over 50 held hostage or missing 

As many as 2,800 Israelis have been injured in the attack by Hamas and over 50 are either held hostage or are missing. The attack began on October 7 in southern Israel when dozens of Hamas terrorists breached the borders and parachuted down to cities. According to the Israeli government, foreign nationals from at least 20 countries including the US, the UK, Nepal, Canada and China among others have been killed in the terrorist attack.

According to the BBC, at least 17 British nationals are either missing or have been killed in Israel. The Israeli government has been frequently updating about the war crimes by Hamas, which including executing women and children in several cities.

Notably, Israel is also dealing with missile attacks from Hezbollah in Lebanon. Earlier today, the IDF revealed that missiles also landed in open areas in Israel from Syria.
