Skoda Kylaq launched at Rs 7.89 lakh in India, Rivals Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet

Skoda Kylaq launched: Skoda India launched its entry-level first sub-4m compact SUV in India, the Kylaq at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The booking for the Skoda Kylaq will start on December 2, 2024, and the deliveries of the SUV will begin on January 27, 2024. The Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 20 km/l. This SUV from Skoda will rival the sub-4m compact SUV segment, having Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, and more. The front profile of the SUV gets a split headlight setup like the Kushaq and has a dual-tone treatment on the bumper.

Skoda Kylaq Price and Competition:

The price of the Skoda Kylaq starts at Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The full price list will be revealed on December 2, 2024. For the public, the car would be displayed at the Bharat Mobility Expo in January 2025. 

Skoda Kylaq Exterior Design: 

The exterior design of the Skoda Kylaq is similar to the Kushaq. The front profile is bold and gets a split setup for the headlights. It gets the typical Skoda grill and the fog lamps are integrated with the headlights. From the side, it runs on 17-inch alloy wheels and the length is under four metres. The windows are large enough, resulting in a better ambiance inside the cabin. At the rear, it comes with LED taillamps and black bumpers, providing a sporty appearance, The taillamps are connected with Skoda branding get a rear wiper, and have a shark-fin antenna. 

Skoda Kylaq Interiors: 

The interiors of the Skoda Kylaq are fresh and updated. It gets the same steering wheel design as the Kushaq, with a knurled finish for steering-mounted controls. The dashboard comes with dual-tone treatment and there is a new design for the AC vents.

The Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine, which churns out 115 BHP and 178 Nm torque, mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic torque converter gearbox. The 0-100 km/h claimed time of Skoda Kylaq is 10.5 seconds.
