Eyes of AI: As the nation progresses into the future, the way Independence Day is observed is bound to evolve and the technology and societal values though changing over time, reflect our ancient culture. But what might these celebrations look like a century from now?

With rapid developments in artificial intelligence and immersive technologies, we can now take a speculative peek at our future to know how the celebrations of Independence Day will look 100 years from now.

Here’s how AI image generation tools imagine India’s Independence Day celebrations in the year 2124.

The first picture shows highly advanced cars and several screens on skyscrapers with broad roads and detailed flags. The people in the image are also wearing Indian ethnic clothing which shows how detailed this AI-generated image is. However, the screens show the photos of a random leader.

The second photo shows the city of Mumbai with skyscrapers, advanced BEST buses, and the iconic Gateway of India. Indian flags are also there but now with holographic displays.

Hyderabad, the city of pearls, is being shown with its natural charm and the iconic Char Minar. AI image generator showed the streets full of people, holding Tricolors and marching toward the landmark of the city.

The city of Lucknow is being depicted with huge number of crowds and the skies full of aircrafts and holographic displaying being hanged around in the middle of the air. The image created by Microsoft Copilot, blends the futuristic vision of Independence day celebrations with culturally significant monuments.

Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal, was shown with tons of people surrounding a monument which was not the Taj Mahal but somewhat similar. The skies were full of aircraft but they appeared as old as World War II. The image was not accurate but as the models are still in the pretty early phase, the outcomes were impressive.

However, the second image for Agra created by Microsoft Copilot was far more accurate.

We also tried using Grok 2.0 fun mode to create images for India's Independence Day celebrations after 100 years, however, the image generation engine could not on give clear results. One of the Tricolor was in middle of the sky while two  monuments from Agra was shown side by side.

We tried using Meta’s AI-generated tool integrated with WhatsApp to create some more images, however, the details were not comparable to either ChatGPT or Grok. Even though the image generated by AI were not 100 per cent accurate, it shows the potential the emerging technolgies hold to change the way we interact with our reality.
