Aircall, a provider of call centre software valued at approximately $1 billion, announced the appointment of Scott Chancellor, 41, as its new CEO on Thursday. Chancellor, formerly the CEO of Humu and with prior experience at Amazon Web Services, takes over from Olivier Pailhes, the co-founder of Aircall. Pailhes will maintain a position on the Aircall board of directors.

Aircall, originally established in Paris in 2014, is considered a growth story in France's tech sector, although it now operates from its headquarters in New York. Like several other tech firms, including Zoom, Aircall experienced a significant boost in its fortunes during the 2020 COVID pandemic, benefiting from the global shift to remote work and increased reliance on online meetings and calls.
