Western sports brands distributor in Russia is set to introduce Adidas and Reebok products to the market this week, as reported by Kommersant. The move comes in the wake of the companies' withdrawal from the Russian market following the conflict in Ukraine that began in February 2022.

Both Adidas and Nike had initially suspended their business operations in Russia and later decided to exit the market entirely. Reebok's Russian business, owned by Authentic Brands Group, was taken over by FLO retailing in May 2022.

Despite these brand departures, Russian consumers have found alternatives through small-scale imports and online sellers to maintain access to foreign brands, especially in the realm of consumer goods unaffected by sanctions.

Lestate, the distributor in question, plans to establish a network of mono-brand stores featuring products from Adidas and Reebok. The company already sells Nike clothing and shoes in Russia, according to Kommersant's report.

Importantly, there is no indication that Adidas, Reebok, or Nike are endorsing or facilitating Lestate's sales of their products in the Russian market.
