In his address from the ramparts of the Red Fort, PM Modi said, “We have just one resolve-nation first.”
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked his 11th consecutive Independence Day by unfurling the national flag from the Red Fort, emphasizing the collective potential of India’s 140 crore citizens to achieve prosperity and development through united effort. In his address from the ramparts of the Red Fort, PM Modi said, “We have just one resolve-nation first.”
PM Modi further highlighted his government’s commitment to breaking the status quo with transformative reforms aimed at improving the lives of the middle class and the poor. He stressed that these reforms are driven by dedication to the nation, not political necessity.
Modi praised the growth of the banking sector as a key driver of progress across various fields and underscored the importance of paying tribute to the countless individuals who sacrificed for India's freedom. He also extended condolences to families affected by recent national disasters.
Before reaching the Red Fort, PM Modi paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at his memorial. He reiterated his vision for a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) by 2047, drawing on suggestions from across the country, including reforms in the justice system and advancements in traditional medicine.
PM Modi also highlighted achievements such as expanding electricity access, providing piped water to millions, and promoting renewable energy. He expressed pride in India’s global standing, particularly in fintech, noting the international interest in its innovations.
