Germany plans €440 billion debt issuance for 2024
The government plans to raise €17 billion to €19 billion through the issuance of green federal securities.

The German government has outlined its debt issuance plans for 2024, with intentions to issue federal securities of approximately €440 billion ($480.96 billion), according to the German Finance Agency.
Of the total, €247.5 billion will be raised through auctions of conventional federal securities on the capital market, while an additional €165 billion will be issued on the money market.
Additionally, the government plans to raise €17 billion to €19 billion through the issuance of green federal securities. These debt issuance plans reflect Germany's financial strategy for the coming year and its approach to managing fiscal requirements.
