NEET Counselling 2024: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will initiate the registration process for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) counselling on August 14, 2024. This process will be for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS and BDS seats. Candidates who have qualified for NEET UG 2024 as per the final results can register for the counselling on the official MCC website, [mcc.nic.in] 

Steps to Register for NEET Counselling:

  • 1. Visit [mcc.nic.in]
  • 2. on the link for NEET UG 2024 counselling registration.
  • 3. Fill in the required details to complete the registration process.
  • 4. Pay the non-refundable counselling fee.
  • 5. Select your preferred colleges and medical courses.
  • 6. Lock your choices before the deadline.

Important Dates for NEET UG Counselling:

The registration period for NEET UG 2024 counselling will run until August 20, giving candidates six days to complete the process. Below are key dates to keep in mind:

  • Registration and Payment: August 14 to 21 (registration closes at 12 noon; payment facility closes at 3 PM).
  • Choice Filling and Locking: August 16 to 20.
  • Seat Allotment Processing: August 21 to 22.
  • Result Declaration: August 23.
  • Reporting and Joining: August 24 to 29.
  • Verification of Joined Candidates' Data by Institutes: August 30 to 31.

Key Instructions for Candidates:

Before registering, candidates should verify their eligibility and domicile status on the MCC website, particularly for institutional quota seats at central universities and JIPMER. Additionally, it's crucial to check the fee structure for deemed universities to avoid any later issues.

The MCC has indicated that seat conversion will take place during Round 3 for AIQ seats, deemed universities, central universities/institutes, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing courses. This conversion will only occur once all eligible candidates in the relevant category have been placed.

Security Deposit and Seat Upgradation:

Candidates who are allocated a seat in the second or subsequent rounds and fail to join the assigned institution will forfeit their security deposit. For those allotted a seat in Round 1 who wish to upgrade to Round 2, it is mandatory to report in person to the allotted college with original documents.

Candidates who do not secure a seat in Round 1 will automatically be eligible for Round 2 without the need for re-registration.

Institutions Covered:

NEET UG 2024 counselling will cover admissions to 15% AIQ seats, 100% MBBS and BDS seats at BHU, 100% MBBS seats at AIIMS across India, JIPMER (Puducherry/Karaikal), among others.
