TN NEET-UG Counselling 2024: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Tamil Nadu, will close the registration window for NEET UG 2024 counselling today, August 9. Eligible candidates who have not yet registered are urged to complete their applications on the official website, [tnmedicalselection.net](http://tnmedicalselection.net).

The TN NEET UG counselling process is a crucial step for aspirants seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Tamil Nadu medical and dental colleges for the 2024-2025 academic session. Candidates must complete the registration process and submit their application forms before the deadline to be considered for the first round of counselling.

 Registration Fees and Exemptions

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 500 for government quota seats and Rs 1,000 for management quota seats. However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), SC (Arunthathiyar), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities of Tamil Nadu are exempted from paying the application fee.

 Merit List and Counselling Process

After the registration window closes, the counselling committee will release a merit list of eligible candidates. Only those who have submitted complete application forms will be included in this list. Once the merit list is published, candidates will be required to fill in their preferred choices of colleges and courses during the counselling process.

 How to Apply for TN NEET UG 2024 Counselling

To apply for TN NEET UG 2024 counselling, candidates should follow these steps:

  2. on the ‘UG courses’ tab and select ‘MBBS/BDS’.
  3. Select the appropriate link to apply for MBBS/BDS under either the government quota or management quota (including NRI).
  4. Go to the ‘Online Application’ tab and select ‘New Registration’.
  5. Register and log in using the generated credentials.
  6. Complete the application form and upload the required documents.
  7. Pay the registration fee and submit the form.
  8. Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

 Required Documents for Registration

Applicants must upload the following documents during registration:

- NEET UG 2024 admit card and scorecard.
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets (both sides).
- HSC marksheet or equivalent examination certificate.
- Transfer certificate after completing HSC or equivalent courses.
- Proof of study from Class 6 to Class 12 (for candidates who studied in Tamil Nadu).
- Community and nativity certificates (if applicable).
- Bonafide certificate for candidates who studied in Tamil Nadu government schools (for 7.5% special reservation).
- Income certificate (for fee exemption claims).
- Eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University (for candidates from other boards/universities).
- Additional supporting documents (if applicable).
- Linguistic and Christian Minority Certificates (for management quota minority status).
- NRI-related documents (for candidates claiming NRI status under management quota).
