Delhi MCD School Teacher Booked for Allegedly Beating Class 1 Student, Causing Injury
The student was admitted to JPC Hospital, where a medical examination confirmed internal ear bleeding.
A distressing incident where a 6-year-old student was allegedly beaten took place on February 17 at Nagar Nigam School, Shri Ram Colony of northeast Delhi. Authorities were alerted when a PCR call was made on February 18, prompting immediate action.
Police have registered a case against a teacher from Nagar Nigam School for the alleged assault of a class 1 student, causing internal bleeding in the ear.
According to a statement by the Delhi Police, the student was admitted to JPC Hospital, where a medical examination confirmed internal ear bleeding. However, no external injuries were detected.
The child's mother refrained from filing a complaint with the police, citing that the child's father child's father had gone to his native place in Bihar. As a result, the police had left the matter pending since February 18.
But after legal examination, an offence has been registered under section 115 (2) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and a case is being registered accordingly, said Delhi Police
A case has been filed against the teacher, and ongoing investigations are currently in progress, as confirmed by authorities.
