Sood further mentioned that the income eligibility limit for admission under the EWS category has been raised to Rs 5 lakh. To maintain transparency, he explained that the computerized draw of lots will be broadcast on television, with a standard operating procedure (SOP) in place for the process.
The education minister highlighted that EWS students had faced challenges in securing admissions in the past.
