India Post is set to announce the much-anticipated India Post GDS Merit List 2024 in the coming days. GDS results will be out on indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
New Delhi: India Post is set to announce the much-anticipated India Post GDS Merit List 2024 in the coming days. Once released, the first merit list will be available on the official India Post website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Alongside the merit list, the organization will also release the cut-off marks and other relevant details.
Merit List Preparation and Selection Process
The merit list will be meticulously prepared based on the marks obtained or the conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the Secondary School Examination (10th standard) of recognized boards. These marks will be aggregated to a percentage with an accuracy of up to four decimal points.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit an undertaking in the format annexed as Annexure-IX, affirming their liability in case of furnishing fake or incorrect information. Following this, candidates will need to appear for physical verification, with the specific dates communicated via SMS to their registered mobile numbers.

1. Visit the official website of India Post at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
2. on the “India Post GDS Merit List 2024” link available on the home page.
3. A new PDF file will open where candidates can check their names or roll numbers.
4. Download the page and keep a hard copy for future reference.
GDS Recruitment Drive Overview
This recruitment drive aims to fill 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts across 23 postal circles nationwide. The registration process took place from July 15 to August 5, 2024, with a correction window open from August 6 to August 8, 2024.
Documents Required for GDS Physical Verification
Candidates who make it to the merit list and are shortlisted will need to present the following documents during the physical verification process:
1. Marks sheet
2. Identity proof
3. Caste certificate (if applicable)
4. PWD certificate (if applicable)
5. EWS certificate (if applicable)
6. Transgender certificate (if applicable)
7. Date of Birth Proof
8. Medical certificate issued by a Medical Officer of any Government Hospital/Government Dispensaries/Government Primary Health Centre (Compulsory)
9. Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in respect of knowledge of tribal/local dialects for engagement in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
