NTA NCET 2025: The deadline to register for the NTA NCET 2025 exam is March 16. Here is all you need to know.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) commenced the registration for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2025 exam on Thursday, February 20. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can complete the NTA NCET 2025 application form at exams.nta.ac.in/NCET or nta.ac.in.
The NCET exam, conducted by NTA on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), is for admission into the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) at selected Central/State Universities and Institutions, including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges. The ITEP offers a Dual Major Programme where the first major is in Education with School-Specific Stage specialization, and the second major is in a chosen discipline.
NTA NCET Exam 2025: Important Dates
The deadline to register for the NTA NCET 2025 exam is March 16. The exam itself is scheduled for April 29. The NTA will allow candidates to make corrections to their application details from March 18 to March 19, 2025.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Common Entrance Test 2025 (NCET) across 178 cities and in 13 languages throughout India. The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for the Academic Session 2025-26.
NTA NCET 2025: Steps to Apply
Step 1: Go to the official NCET examination website: ncet2025.ntaonline.in.
Step 2: on the 'Register' link on the right side of the homepage.
Step 3: Review the registration instructions carefully before filling out the NCET application form.
Step 4: Tick the checkbox confirming that you have read the instructions, then ' here to Proceed'.
Step 5: Complete your NCET 2025 online registration by entering personal details, current and permanent addresses, and setting a password and PIN.
Step 6: Log in using your application number and password.
Step 7: Fill out the NCET 2025 online application form with your educational qualifications, preferred university/institution/organization and programme, test paper details, select exam cities, and upload necessary images and documents (if required).
Step 8: Proceed to pay the NCET 2025 exam fee online using Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, or Paytm Services.
Step 9: Remember to download and keep a soft copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
NTA NCET 2025: Registration Fee
Candidates belonging to the General (Unreserved - UR) category need to pay Rs 1,200 to register for the NCET 2025 exam. For candidates from Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories, the registration fee is Rs 1,000. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and third-gender candidates are required to pay a registration fee of Rs 650 for NCET 2025.
