New Delhi: India on Tuesday, June 4, concluded the Lok Sabha elections 2024 with the Non-Democratic Alliance (NDA) securing 293 seats, INDI Alliance at 232 seats and others at 18. With securing full dominance in states like Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata emerged as the largest party in the recent parliamentary elections. However, there were several states where the saffron party had to bear a huge loss like in Uttar Pradesh. In the 2024 general elections, several battles were seen going toe to toe with many narrow margins of victory. 

Lok Sabha Seats With Lowest Victory Margins:

Salempur (Uttar Pradesh): In Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party's Ramashankar Rajbhar won the Salempur Lok Sabha seat against BJP's Ravindra Kushawaha with a mere margin of 3,573 votes. The SP candidate won 4,05,472 votes, while Kushawaha received 4,01,899 votes.

Hamirpur (Uttar Pradesh): Another Uttar Pradesh seat that witnessed a narrow margin win in Lok Sabha elections was Harmirpur, where SP's Ajendra Lodhi won the seat by the margin of 2,629 votes. Lodhi won 4,90,683 votes, while BJP's Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel secured 4,88,054 votes in the general elections.

Attingal (Kerala): The Attingal constituency in Kerala saw the lowest margin win where the candidate won by 684 votes. Congress candidate Adv Adoor Prakash won with 3,28,051 votes, while CPI(M) candidate V Joy secured 3,27,367 votes.

Mumbai North West (Maharashtra): Maharashtra's Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency recorded the narrowest margin victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Shinde Shiv Sena candidate Ravindra Dattaram Waikar won against Shiv Sena UBT candidate Amol Gajanan Kirtikar by a mere margin of 48 votes.
