RARKPK Box Office Collection Day 9: Ranveer-Alia's 2nd film to enter Rs 100 crore club

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was released on July 28. The Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer opened to a good response at the box office and has continued to remain steady. Despite competition from Barbie and Oppenheimer, the Bollywood romantic drama has fared well at the ticket window.

How did Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani do on Day 9?

RARKPK is estimated to have earned Rs 11.50 crore at the Indian box office on Day 9, as per Sacnilk. This took its total to Rs 91.85 crore. This is the second weekend for the Bollywood film and the positive trend is a good sign. It saw a jump from Day 8 (Friday) collection of Rs 6.75 crore.

RARKPK earned the most on its first Sunday when it minted Rs 18.75 crore. The big-budget Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer is likely to do well on Day 10 (Sunday) due to the weekend factor. It will cross the Rs 100 crore mark today, making it the second film of the lead pair to reach the box office milestone after Gully Boy (2019).

RARKPK beats Hollywood biggies

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is competing with Oppenheimer and Barbie, which released on July 21, and the Pawan Kalyan starrer Bro, which released on July 28. While Bro had released alongside RARKPK at the box office, it has received a good reception from the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana box office as well as overseas.

Oppenheimer, on the other hand, is a blockbuster success in India. It has become the second highest-grossing Hollywood film in the country this year. However, none of the three titles have managed to eat into the business of RARKPK and it continues to taste success in the NCR.
