After Jailer and Bhola Shankar, Tamannaah Bhatia is gearing up for the release of her upcoming web series Aakhri Sach.
The makers have unveiled the trailer of Aakhri Sach, starring Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead. Helmed by Robbie Grewal, the upcoming series stars the actress in a cop role. The series is based on a tragic case of the Burari deaths in Delhi.

Tamannaah Bhatia is set to unravel a tragic case
The trailer opens with Tamannaah Bhatia waking up suddenly after having visions in the sleep of a number of bodies hanging from the ceiling. In the next frame, she is shown reaching a crime site where a family of 11 members has died. The case involves family members spanning from the age of 9 to 71. The trailer introduces them as a "regular family, just like us."
As the investigation proceeds, the case is suspected to be a mass suicide, but Tamannaah suggests otherwise. She points out that the house has a connection of number 11. 11 windows, 11 doors, and 11 family members. In the video, she is shown going deeper into the investigation to crack the case. The over-two-minute trailer ends with a voiceover, "Family matters should stay within the family.”
The trailer also offers glimpses of the family members spending happy moments. Abhishek Banerjee, Kriti Vij, and others feature as family members. In the series, Shiv Narang plays the role of Kriti's fiance, who seems to be a suspect.
'Akhri Sach shook my very core,' says Tamannaah Bhatia
Speaking about her first reaction after listening to the story, the actress said, "When Aakhri Sach came to me, it was a story that immediately shook my very core." She also opened up about her character and said, "It is very special to me".
"This character is very special to me – firstly because it’s the first time ever I am playing a police officer in a long format and secondly, the emotional vulnerability of Anya that Aakhri Sach displays is like none other. Playing this sharp and fierce cop, really pushed me to embrace all the discomfort and perceptions that came with it and overcome them,” Tamannaah said in an official statement. Akhri Sach will start streaming from August 25 on Disney Plus Hotstar.
