70th National Film Awards: The winners of the 70th National Film Awards have been announced and Risabh Shetty has won the Best Actor award for Kantara.
70th National Film Awards: The 70th National Film Awards 2024 have been announced via a press conference by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, led by Ashwini Vaishnaw. Rishabh Shetty has won the Best Actor for the film Kantara while the Best Actress award has been won by Nithya Menen for Thiruchitrambalam and Manasi Parekh for Kutch Express. The actor is yet to respond to the accolade.
Rishab Shetty wins big at the 70th National Film Awards
After the thunderous win of Allu Arjun for Pushpa: The Rise last year, regional Indian cinema shone once again at the National Film Awards this year. With Best Actor, Actress and Best Movies awards all won by South Indian movies, the National Film Awards concluded for the year 2022. Rishab Shetty received the accolade for his role in Kantara.
The Kannada action thriller Kantara hit the big screens in September 2022. Rishab Shetty stars in a dual role in the film. The movie holds the record of the highest-grossing Kannada movie of all time. A prequel of the movie is in the works and is expected to hit the big screens next year.
