Bambai Meri Jaan teaser: Kay Kay Menon to explore criminal underbelly of Mumbai

Kay Kay Menon is all set to headline the 10-part crime thriller series Bambai Meri Jaan. It is directed by Shujaat Saudagar and is bankrolled by Excel Entertainment. The makers unveiled the first look of the series and the release date today (August 28).

Bambai Meri Jaan to feature a unique father-son story 

Bambai Meri Jaan will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Spetember 14. The series promises to have a fast-paced narrative set in the crime world. The series is a gripping saga about a father and son who are two sides of the same coin. The series explores the classic battle of good versus evil. 

Set in the post-independence era, the story chronicles the rise of a young man, Dara Kadri (played by Tiwary), torn between his father’s law enforcement legacy (played by Menon) and his own journey into the heart of organised crime.

Bambai Meri Jaan director talks about the show 

Rock On 2 fame Shujaat Saudagaar has donned the director’s hat for Bambai Meri Jaan. In a statement, the director mentioned that the crime drama will explore the dysfunctionality of relationships. He also stated that the story will show the families growing together through their trials and tribulations.

Shujaat said, “Bambai Meri Jaan deals with the complexity of nature vs nurture. Thematically stories which relate to dysfunctional relationships have always attracted me to tell a cinematic narrative.”

Apart from Kay Kay Menon, Bambai Meri Jaan also stars Avinash Tiwary, Kritika Kamra and Nivedita Bhattacharya along with Amyra Dastur in pivotal roles. The drama will stream from September 15 and will comprise 10 episodes.
