Ajay Reveals He Suffererd Vision Loss For '2-3 Months' As Singham 3 vs BB3 Screen War Continues

Ajay Devgn suffered major eye injury on the sets of Singham Again while shooting for an action scene. Following this, he lost his vision and underwent surgery.

Ajay Devgn is awaiting the release of his highly anticipated cop drama Singham Again, helmed by Rohit Shetty. The movie involves high-octane stunts mostly performed by Ajay and a glimpse of it was shared by Shetty during Republic Day . However, not many know that while performing one such stunt, he suffered a major eye injury which cost his vision.

How did Ajay Devgn suffer an eye injury on the sets of Singham Again?

Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty appeared at a reality-based show to promote their movie Singham Again when the host asked the actor about the health of his eye. The host asked, "Aankh pe jo chot lagi thi yahi pe lagi thi kya (The eye injury that you suffered was in this one)?" Rohit added, "Hann iss film pe (Yes, in this film)." The host recalled his conversation with Ajay and said, "Ajay showed me a shot. There was a mistiming, and a person came to beat him with a stick, and its timing went off. So it straight hit him in the eye."

Ajay Devgn lost eye vision for 2-3 months

Opening up about the eye surgery, the actor said "Do-teen mahine toh vision chali gayi thi (I lost my vision for two-three months)." Following this he underwent a small surgery. The actor also shared how the times have changed. Now, people perform the stunts with cable, whereas earlier there was no cable or CGI.

What do we know about Singham Again?

Apart from Ajay, the movie stars an ensemble cast, including Deepika Padukone , Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor. In the movie, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh will be reprising their roles.  The movie is set to clash with Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 on November 1.
