Animal crosses ₹600 crore mark at worldwide box office in half as much as time as Leo, Jailer

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film Animal's second Saturday witnessed an impressive earning of Rs 37 crore at the domestic box office.

Despite facing its fair share of criticism, Ranbir Kapoor's film Animal continues to roar at the box office. It showed a resilient performance into its second weekend. On its second Saturday, the film crossed the Rs 600 mark globally.

How much did Animal earn on the 9th day?

The film's second Saturday witnessed an impressive earning of Rs 37 crore at the domestic box office. According to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has now amassed a staggering total domestic collection of Rs 398.53 crore.

The film maintained an overall 49.12 per cent Hindi occupancy, with a notable surge in night show attendance, accounting for 62.29 per cent of Hindi-language screenings. Additionally, the movie garnered a 40.36 per cent Telugu occupancy and a 33.25 per cent Tamil occupancy. Globally, the film has crossed the monumental Rs 600 crore mark in half as much as time as Leo and Jailer. While Rajinikanth starrer reached the ₹600 crore mark in 18 days, Thalapathy Vijay's film reached the coveted milestone in 21 days.

Animal surpasses lifetime collection of Tiger Zinda Hai, Dangal

Animal has surpassed the lifetime collections of Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda Hai and secured a position in the top 10 list of all-time highest-grossing films worldwide. While maintaining its successful run, the film is yet to surpass the collections of the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023, Jawan, which earned an impressive Rs 464.8 crore in its first week. In comparison, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial garnered Rs 337.58 crore in its debut week. However, the film has outpaced the first-week collections of other major hits like Pathaan (Rs 318.50 crore) and Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 (Rs 284.63 crore).

The film has also surpassed the collections of the all-time grosser Dangal, which earned Rs 387.38 crore in the domestic market upon its release in 2016.
