Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, debuted in theatres on December 1. While the film is currently having a successful run at the box office, it also came under fire for glorifying extreme violence and misogyny. In one of his recent interviews, Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi talked candidly about working on a movie similar to Animal

In a roundtable discussion with Bollywood Hungama, Arshad described Animal as the male equivalent of Kill Bill and claimed that his perspective is different since he views movies as full-fledged forms of entertainment and nothing else. He stated that he doesn't want to overthink things or receive instructions from others on what to and shouldn't watch.

When asked if he would be interested in working in a film like Animal. The actor said, “There are things that we like to see but not do. Animal would come in that bracket. For instance, when Indra Kumar called me to do Grand Masti, I don’t like those kind of films. I don’t like sex comedies. I don’t mind watching it, it’s funny but I don’t want to do it. So, as an audience I like to see it, but as an actor I don’t want to do it. I like porn but I don’t want to do it.”

What is Animal about?

The storyline of Animal revolves around Ranbir Kapoor as Arjun Singh, who yearns for approval and wants to win over his estranged father. Ranbir's father-son relationship with Anil Kapoor is portrayed as being extremely intense, to the point where he would stop at nothing to support his family. Later, his love makes him become a merciless vengeful person.
