Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra made their Hollywood debut around the same time. While Deepika was filming for the 2017 movie XXX- Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel, Priyanka has already starred in the ABC show Quantico. In a recent interview, the Piku star made a comment about moving to Hollywood, which fans speculate was a dig aimed at the former Miss World.

Deepika recently graced the cover of The Week magazine. In the interview, the actress talked about working in Hollywood. She said that she doesn’t want to move to another country to find acceptance. The Jawan actress said, “I have global ambitions, but much of it is being beyond a movie star. I don’t feel the need to move to another country or speak the way they speak to be accepted. I sleep better knowing I am in my culture and did it on my own terms.”

Priyanka’s fans took it as a dig at the Citadel star, who has now permanently moved to the USA after marrying Nick Jonas in 2018. One internet user said, "It obviously is (a dig at Priyanka). The metrics she mentioned uniquely fit PC and no one else."

Another added, "This is sad PC has only ever had good things to say about her." A third commented, "PC did not go to Hollywood by choice. She was forced to go there cos she had no future here."
