The actress played the role of Shehnaaz, who attempts suicide when her husband decides to tie the knot for a second time. During the interview, Dia Mirza was asked about her character Shehnaaz who self-harms but comes out stronger in the end. Sharing her views, the actress said, "When an individual attempts suicide, it is their appeal to be seen, to be heard. It is a cry for help. Thankfully my character was saved."

Dia Mirza on bouncing back after going through a rough patch
In the same interview, Dia Mirza was asked what gives her the strength to bounce back each time she goes through a rough patch. Responding to the question, the Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein actress revealed that seeking counsel, yoga, meditation, and self-care helps her. "Over the years, I’ve learned to understand that you just need to step aside and witness a bad time and tell yourself that this too shall pass.” “Communication always helps," she added.

Talking about her experience of working with profound filmmakers such as Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti in Made In Heaven S2, Dia Mirza disclosed that it was an instant 'Yes' when she was approached for the episode in 2021. She said, "The writing jumped off the page! I was deeply moved by the character arc and everything that it stands for. I first worked with Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti on Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. (2007) and since then, I have cherished their craft."
