Gadar 2 earns ₹503.67 crore in 25 days, inches closer to Baahubali 2 collection

Gadar 2 has continued its dream run at the box office even after 25 days of release. The Sunny Deol film has performed at the ticket counter and became the fastest Hindi film to mint ₹500 crore in India, beating Pathaan. Though the film’s business slowed down as it entered the fourth week of release, Sunny Deol is still eyeing the highest-grossing Hindi film title.

Can Gadar 2 beat Baahubali 2 record?

On September 4, Gadar 2 created history by becoming the fastest Hindi film to mint ₹500 crore at the domestic box office. It crossed the milestone in just 24 days. On its fourth Monday, the action film collected ₹2.50 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. This has taken the film's total collection to ₹503.67 crore in India.

As Gadar 2 moves swiftly towards becoming the highest-grossing film of the year, it is on its way to breaking the records held by Baahubali 2 and Pathaan. As per Sacnilk, the Hindi version of Prabhas starrer Baahubali 2 had raked ₹510.99 crore in India. Gadar 2 will have to surpass the collection of SS Rajamouli directorial and then look to challenge the collection of Pathaan (₹543.9 crore).

With each milestone the film achieves, the Gadar 2 team gets a reason to celebrate. On September 4, the director of the film Anil Sharma organised a bash for the cast and crew of the film to celebrate the ₹500 crore feat. The celebrations were attended by lead actors Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma and director Anil Sharma.
