Gadar 2 on OTT: When and where to watch Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel film

Gadar 2 created history at the box office by registering the second-highest opening of 2023. It became the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, although for a brief period. After becoming one of the biggest commercial successes in Bollywood, the Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer is set for its digital premiere. Interestingly, after a theatrical clash, Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi's OMG 2 will premiere on OTT a couple of days after Gadar 2.

Gadar 2 on OTT soon

Months after a successful theatrical run, the Sunny Deol starrer action flick is all set to premiere on OTT. The movie will stream on Zee 5 from October 6. The first part of the movie is also available to stream on the same platform. Sharing a poster of the film for the official announcement, the OTT platform wrote, “The countdown begins! Tara Singh is all set to win your hearts! India's Biggest Blockbuster is coming on #ZEE5 in just 2 days!” 

Gadar 2 is the sequel to the 2001 film. It is set in the backdrop of the partition of India, post Independence in 1947. The sequel is also helmed by Anil Sharma and stars the same cast -- Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma. The second installment of the film narrates the story of a father crossing the Indian border to reach Pakistan to rescue his son. 

Gadar 2 box office run 

Gadar 2 amassed a staggering collection at the domestic box office. The film was declared a blockbuster hit as it raked ₹524.8 crore, as per Sacnilk. While the film was already a profitable venture, it crossed the lifetime haul of Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan to become the highest-grossing Hindi film in India. However, the stint did not last long as Atlee’s Jawan took over the first spot with  ₹556.39 crore collection.
