Govinda clarifies on his now-deleted Nuh violence post, says 'account was hacked'

Bollywood actor Govinda caught the attention of X-users (formerly known as Twitter) yesterday after one of his posts expressing his concern about the violence in Haryana caused outrage among the social media platform users, formerly known as Twitter.

“Someone has hacked my account”
On Wednesday, August 2, Govinda had posted on X, expressing his concern about the violence and growing unrest in Haryana. Following his post, Govinda faced a major backlash from many X users. Within 30 minutes, Govinda had deactivated his profile.

Now, Govinda has shared a video on Instagram to clear the air. In this video, Govinda issues clarification that he had not made the post on X that caused such a ruckus amongst his fans and X-users alike. He said, “Please do not attribute this Haryana post to me. I have not done this. Somebody has hacked my account.”
'My team would never do this', says Govinda
The Hero no. 1 actor further informed his followers in the video that he is filing a complaint to the cyber cell and that they will look into the matter now. He also sent a message to all his fans and well-wishers from Haryana to not attribute this post to him, adding that he hasn’t used his X account in a long time.

Govinda also stood by his social media team, sounding very assured that his team wouldn’t post anything on his behalf without a prior discussion. “My team would never do this,” he added.

Govinda also expressed his doubts whether this was a conscious and malicious attempt to ruin the actor’s reputation during the election season. He added, “Perhaps they assumed that I am joining or will affiliate with any political party, hence have done this.” Before signing off, Govinda added, “I never talk about these things, never discuss all this.”
