What happened after the art director was found hanging at his studio?
Nitin Desai was found hanging at the centre stage of a mega floor inside his ND Studio. During the investigation, the police discovered audio notes in a voice recorder and have sought the assistance of cyber forensic experts to examine them. It was revealed that Nitin Desai had asked one of his employees to retrieve the voice recorder from the studio on Wednesday morning.
Witnesses reported seeing a bow and arrow-like formation made from a rope, suggesting that the tragedy occurred in the midst of the set for the talent show Marathi Paul Padte Pudhe. It was later revealed that the art director's company had borrowed a substantial amount of Rs 185 crore through loans from ECL Finance in 2016 and 2018. Troubles with repayments started surfacing in January 2020. Meanwhile, Maharashtra MLA Mahesh Baldi earlier revealed that Desai was facing financial stress, which is the "only" reason for his tragic decision. (Inputs from ANI, PTI)
