Renowned art director Nitin Desai, known for his work in films like Lagaan, Devdas, Jodhaa Akbar and more, was found dead at his studio in Maharashtra's Raigad district. As per the preliminary reports, Police have suspected suicide.

MLA reveals possible cause of Nitin's death
Art director Nitin Desai was found dead at ND Studios in Maharashtra's Raigad district. The Karjat Police rushed to his studio for investigations. Mahesh Baldi said that the art director was under financial stress and ruled it as the reason behind the suspected suicide. "He was under financial stress and this could be the only reason for suicide," Baldi told ANI.
The local police in Khalapur received a call at around 10 am on Wednesday. They immediately rushed to the spot and discovered his body. Police further confirmed that the body will be sent for post-mortem after which the cause of his death will be ascertained.
Nitin Desai's career in film industry
Nitin Desai's first feature film was Adhikari Brothers' Bhookamp (1993). He was first noticed for his work in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 1942: A Love Story in 1994. He was known for his work in films featuring A-listers such as Prabhas, Chiranjeevi, Hrithik Roshan, and Akshay Kumar among others.
