Israel War/ Nushrratt Bharuccha narrates how she escaped 'war zone' amid Israel-Hamas war: Sound of bombs...
Earlier today, Nushrratt Bharuccha expressed her gratitude to the government for her safe return to her home country after escaping the Israel war zone.
Nushrratt Bharuccha was stuck in Israel when the terrorist attack made by the Palestinian group, Hamas took place on October 7. The actress was in the country to attend the 39th Haifa International Film Festival, where her film Akelli was chosen for screening. Nushrratt was brought back to India on Sunday morning thanks to the Indian government.
Nushrratt took to her Instagram handle earlier today to express her gratitude to the government agencies for his safe arrival to her home country. The actress penned a long note narrating the horror she felt on her last day in Israel.
Nushrratt said in her note that she had great 2 days in Israel until she was woken up with “deafening sounds of bombs going off.” She wrote, “We were woken up to the deafening sounds of bombs going off, a blaring siren, and complete and utter panic as we were all rushed down into a ‘shelter’ in the basement of our hotel. It was only when we emerged from in there, after what seemed like an endless wait, that we learnt that Israel was under attack.”
The actress added they made several efforts to somehow reach the Indian Embassy but it seemed impossible as Hamas militants had infiltrated Israel and they were “pulling civilians out of their homes and shooting people at random.” Nushrratt said she connected with her Akelli co-star Tsahi, who had customarily served in the Israeli military. He confirmed that Israel was in a state of emergency and is engaged in a full-blown war.
Later, with the help of israeli co-actors, embassies of both the nation and support of each other they finally managed to escape the war-torn zone. Nushrratt concluded her note by expressing gratitude to the Government of India, Indian embassy and Israeli embassy. The actress safely arrived in India on Sunday morning.
