Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt vacation in New York City after the actress' National Award win

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor took a break from work to spend some quality time together. The couple was spotted in New York City and pictures of the actors have been doing rounds on social media. The candid snaps came days after Alia was announced as the recipient of the National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Alia-Ranbir snapped in New York City 

On August 20, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were spotted departing from the Mumbai airport. At the time, the destination of their travel was unknown. Now, a new photo of the actors from New York has gone viral.

A fan page of the Animal actor shared the picture on Instagram. In it, the couple could be seen enjoying a meal together. They obliged fans with photographs as they dined together. Alia and Ranbir kept their look casual for the outing. Alia opted for a colourful dress, while Ranbir wore an olive green shirt with denim. 

What's next for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt?  

Ranbir Kapoor is currently preparing for the release of his film Animal. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial will be released in theatres on December 1 and also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. Ranbir was last seen in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, which was a commercial hit.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt was conferred with her maiden National Award on August 24. The actress won the honour for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alia is set to feature in the Farhan Akhtar directorial Jee Le Zaraa which also stars Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra. She will also star in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie Baiju Bawra.
