Ranbir Kapoor, Triptii Dimri's intimate scenes from Animal go viral, netizens share mixed reactions
The trailer for Animal did not reveal anything about Tripti Dimri's role in the film. Scenes with the actress opposite Ranbir Kapoor have now been going viral.
The Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is currently wreaking havoc at the box office with existing shows for the film being sold out, as more shows post midnight are added to cater to the growing demand for the film. Animal's biggest USP in the run up to its release was the absolute secrecy the film's plot was shrouded in. Since Animal released in theatres on December 1, key scenes from the film have been doing the rounds of social media. Among these, happens to be Tripti Dimri's segment from the film where she features opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
Ranbir Kapoor and Tripti Dimri's intimate scenes from Animal go viral
The official trailer for Animal featured Tripti Dimri in a blink and miss appearance with no context of the role she would be essaying in the film. For the unversed, while Ranbir Kapoor's Rannvijay Singh is married to Rashmika Mandanna's Geetanjali, he has a brief affair with Dimri's Zoya. A clip from Dimri's segment in the film, shows Kapoor and the actress passionately kissing followed by the actress lying semi-nude in bed.
With Tripti having essayed conservative roles in the past - namely, 2020 film Bulbbul and 2022 film Qala, this new avatar received mixed reactions from fans. While some appreciated Ranbir and Tripti's chemistry in the film, others were perturbed by the plot which saw Rannvijay ask Zoya to lick his boot as a gesture to prove her love for him.
Animal to get post-midnight shows
The Sandeep Reddy Vanga helmed Animal raked in a stellar sum of ₹61 crores on its opening day, even as it opened in a box office clash with Meghna Gulzar's Vicky Kaushal starrer, Sam Bahadur.
The surge in demand for the shows, particularly in Mumbai, has led to the addition of shows at 1 AM and 2 AM in the morning.
