Ranveer Singh confirmed to play Dev in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part 2: Dev?

Ranveer Singh is all set to play Dev in Ayan Mukerji's much-anticipated film Brahmastra Part 2: Dev, according to reports. Earlier, names of actors such as Hrithik Roshan, Yash and Ranveer Singh were speculated to be playing Dev in the 2022 film sequel.

Ayan Mukerji's 2022 film Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Dimple Kapadia among others introduced 'Astraverse' to Indian cinema. The filmmaker announced a trilogy on the film, teasing the association of Deepika Padukone in the film, who will reportedly have a major role in the sequel of the film. The film also teased the character Dev, without giving a hint of who the actor would be. It became the talk of the town, still holding the buzz around the character alive.

Ranveer Singh to play Dev in Brahmastra 2?

If reports are to be believed, actor Ranveer Singh has been reportedly finalised to play the role of Dev in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra 2. According to reports, the scripting for the second part of the film is still in progress and the shoot of the film will begin sometime in 2025. The delay in the shoot of the second part of the film is said to be due to Ayan's association with War 2. The filmmaker will reportedly be directing the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster film War, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. The sequel to the film will star Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in the lead role.

What do we know about Brahmastra 2?

Details regarding Brahmastra Part 2: Dev are still kept under wraps. It is highly speculated that the sequel will take us back to the time when Shiva's parents battled against evil to save the biggest of astras - The Brahmastra. Unlike Brahmastra part 1, part 2 will focus on the union of Dev and Amrita, the parents of Shiva.
