Ranveer Singh opens up about delivering three consecutive flop films

The actor started the conversation by talking about his film 83 which was released in 2021 amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The film which started off well at the box office, registered a massive dip after a rise in Omicron variant was reported and the government imposed several restrictions. Consequently, the film’s overall business was affected. Ranveer said, "It just released at the wrong time. 48 hours before the release, we lost key markets because they all shut down due to Omicron. Unfortunately, a lovely film had the stigma of being a commercial underperformer.”

The following year in 2022, two of his films released Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Cirkus released, and both films failed to impress the audience. He added that it was after Cirkus flopped that he was shaken up as he had not seen three major flops in a row in his career and it was new to him. Ranbeer said, after 3 months of the film’s release, he wasn't at his best.
