Ranveer Singh to feature in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again? Makers react

There has been a lot of speculation about the star cast of Rohit Shetty's next directorial venture, Singham Again. Several big names are rumoured to be part of the project. Some  official websites already having the star cast of the film affirmatively listed. In an official statement from his production house, Rohit Shetty Picturez, the director has provided some clarity on the situation.

• As per multiple media reports, the  star cast of Singham Again comprises of Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone with jackie Shroff playing the villain.
• Rohit Shetty's last theatrical release, Cirkus, was a box office dud.
• Rohit Shetty is currently working on series, Indian Police Force, starring Sidharth Malhotra in the lead.

Rohit Shetty Picturez provides official statement 

Shetty's next directorial, Singham Again, will soon go on floors. In order to quell the many reports incorrectly announcing the star cast of the film, the director's production house, Rohit Shetty Picturez, has come out with an official statement. Addressing the speculations, the statement highlights that Singham Again is currently in pre-production. It goes on to request the media to abstain from making uninformed announcements about the film. The statement also promises that a proper intimation about the actual star cast, will be shared soon.

The official announcement read, "There have been many speculations doing rounds about the starcast in Rohit Shetty's next directorial, Singham Again. The film is currently in pre-production. We kindly request the media to refrain from making any premature announcements at this stage. We will be making an official starcast announcement soon."

This comes amid rumours of Ranveer Singh being part of the Ajay Devgn-led film. The Befikre actor starred in Shetty's Simmba. He later appeared in Sooryanvashi. Both films are part of the same universe as Singham

Rohit Shetty plans on staying true to his style of direction 

Rohit Shetty's last theatrical release, the Ranveer Singh starrer Cirkus, tanked at the box office. Addressing the debacle, the director recently said, "I would upgrade myself definitely, which we keep on doing, try to learn, upgrade, but not to change." He also shared how he loves what he does and truly enjoys his work and thus will stay true to his style of filmmaking and storytelling.
