Sacred Games actress Elnaaz Norouzi believes she can play Mimi 'just as well as' Kriti Sanon

Elnaaz was asked to name a film she could have done as well as the actual actress in the film. To which she replied with Kriti Sanon starrer Mimi.

Kriti Sanon starred in the 2021 comedy-drama Mimi, which was praised by critics and viewers alike. The actress also went on to win the National Award in the Best Actress category for her role in the movie earlier this year. In a recent interview, Sacred Games famed Elnaaz Norouzi claimed that she could have played the role of Mimi as well as Kriti.

In a conversation with Filmygyan, Elnaaz was asked to name a film she could do better than the actual actress in the film. She changed the question to the role she could have done as well as the lead star and replied, “I love Mimi and I think Kriti did a great job in it but I could see myself in that role as well and I think I could have done that role as good.”

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Mimi is the remake of the 2011 Marathi film Mala Aai Vhhaychy. Kriti Sanon plays the titular character in the movie, who chooses to act as a surrogate mother for a couple from abroad and later ends up with the baby. In addition to the lead actress, the film stars Aidan Whytock, Evelyn Edwards, Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak in major roles.
