Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde wrap up first schedule of Deva, makers reveal release date

Deva featuring Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde has concluded its first schedule. Renowned Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews, recognised for hits like Salute and Kayamkulam Kochunni, is helming this action-packed thriller. Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Roy Kapur Films, in partnership with Zee Studios, shared the wrap-up announcement on Saturday.

On December 23, Saturday, the makers of Deva took to their official social media handles and shared a special post. The post included a photo of a cake on which a text was written: ‘Deva first schedule done and dusted’. The post also had a caption that said ‘And it’s a wrap for #DEVA schedule one. See you in 2024!’.

What more do we know about Shahid starrer Deva?

Commencing in late October in Mumbai, the cameras started rolling for Deva, an intriguing narrative centering around a brilliant yet rebellious police officer. Set to investigate a high-profile case, the officer uncovers a labyrinth of deceit and betrayal, leading to an exhilarating and perilous journey.

What's next for Shahid, Pooja?

Apart from Deva, Shahid who was recently seen in the OTT film Bloody Daddy, will be seen in the film An Impossible Love Story opposite Mimi star Kriti Sanon. Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde will be seen in Housefull 5 also starrng Akshay Kumar in the lead role. 
 

Who will share screen with Shahid-Pooja?

Earlier, an update about the film came out as Pavail Gulati has joined the cast of Deva along with the leads Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde. The actor was last seen in Goodbye alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Amitabh Bachchan. Gulati expressed immense excitement, citing the exhilarating journey ahead with exceptional talents like Kapoor and director Rosshan Andrrews. Talking about Deva, the actor said, “This collaboration marks his debut with Roy Kapur Films and Zee Studios, a significant milestone and a welcomed challenge.”
