Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are once again in the news after the latter allegedly sent a legal notice to a digital content creator named Raginyy. The notice stems from a YouTube video in which the YouTuber humorously critiqued some of the actress' public statements. This incident has sparked a debate among netizens, who are surprised by the legal action taken against a relatively obscure content creator with a video that had just 7,000 followers.

2 things you need to know

  • Raginyy uploaded a roast video on YouTube on April 20, 2023.
  • This has led to an extensive discussion on social media about freedom of expression, criticism, and the use of legal actions in response to online content.

What was in the roast video?

Raginyy uploaded a video on her YouTube channel where she playfully poked fun at certain past interviews and comments made by Sonam Kapoor. The video contained moments of light-hearted roasting, highlighting some of the humorous, “dumb” and questionable statements made by the actress in the past. Raginyy, however, also praised Sonam for her acting skills in the end and emphasised that she was often criticised for her responses during interviews.

How did Anand Ahuja react to the video?

The twist in this story comes with Anand Ahuja's reaction to the video. He reportedly sent a legal notice to Raginyy, expressing his displeasure with the video's content. Ahuja's notice allegedly conveyed his anger over the public platform's critique of his wife Sonam Kapoor and the analysis of unkind comments aimed at Sonam Kapoor.
