Sushmita Sen opens up about her idea of love and freedom: My freedom...

Sushmita Sen talked at length about her definition of love and her perception of finding validation in life. Recently, in an interview with Humans of Bombay, the Taali actress spoke candidly about how she views love for oneself to be essential. She also opened up about how she considers freedom to be a crucial element in life.

Sushmita Sen on her idea of love

During the interview, Sushmita Sen spoke about her perception of love and how freedom is the most important aspect of her life. She said, "I believe in… nothing in life is more important than my freedom... very important to me. My freedom to be who I am, to choose the voice I want to speak with... I was 18 once and the world was all about ‘somebody will complete me’ kind of scenario."

She revealed that she feels complete in herself and it would be lovely if someone could enhance that feeling of completion in her. "When you need validation you must have the courage to stand infront of the mirror. That's the only validation you need," she added. While talking about love, she said that it is everything and it is what she is made of. She revealed being closely associated with the word love. 

"It is not that love that you project or feel but the love you are. That to me is love, that everything you do in your life with that ‘who you are’ feeling. So to even love another is to love yourself. There is that self love that I speak of… is on a cellular level," she concluded. 

Sushmita Sen on her daughter's reaction to her marriage

In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Sushmita spoke about her daughter’s need for a father figure in their life. The Aarya actress stated they don’t want her to get married as they have no need for a father. "They don’t miss having a father figure because they have never had a father. You only miss what you have," she added.
