Varun Dhawan Joins Sunny Deol Starrer Border 2 After Ayushmann Khurrana’s Abrupt Exit

Border 2 Cast: It seems like Varun Dhawan has landed himself a big project. The actor, who has delivered several hits including Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Bhediya, is all set to be a part of another prestigious project.

Varun Dhawan to be part of Border 2?

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Varun Dhawan will be playing a significant role alongside Sunny Deol in Border 2. Sources suggest, “The makers have roped in Varun for a major role in the film. This film could mark a major milestone in his career, as Border 2 holds a special place with the audience. This addition is certainly elevating the film’s appeal.”

Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Binnoy K Gandhi revealed, “The star cast will be announced soon. Within a month, we are going to organize a big event where we are going to showcase the entire star cast with their characters and their getups.”

This news comes after Ayushmann Khurrana reportedly walked out of Border 2, claiming he is unable to find a good fit for himself in the ensemble cast.

What’s next for Varun Dhawan?

Varun will appear in Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari, written and directed by Shashank Khaitan. He will also star in the action thriller Baby John, directed by A Kaleeswaran and presented by Atlee in collaboration with Jio Studios and Cinel Studios.

In Baby John, Varun Dhawan will be paired with South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh, who will mark her Bollywood debut. The film is schedule to release in theatres on December 25. It also stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. The action drama is reportedly a remake of Atlee’s 2016 directorial Theri, starring Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson. 

Varun Dhawan will also feature in the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood series Citadel alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The Indian version, created by Raj and DK, is set to release on November 7.
