Vicky Kaushal opts out of Rohit Shetty's Singham Again? All we know
Singham Again was slated to bring together actors Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh. Vicky Kaushal was also supposed to join them in the film.
Vicky Kaushal was earlier rumoured to be a part of Rohit Shetty's esteemed cop universe. He was set to portray the role of Bajirao Singham's younger brother in the film Singham Again, alongside actors like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh. However, as per latest reports, the actor has backed out of the project.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Vicky Kaushal had to step out from Singham Again due to an unforeseen date clash. He was deeply interested in doing a mass-oriented film with Rohit Shetty and even deciding on his look for the character. Unfortunately, the shoot dates for Singham Again overlapped with his commitments to another project titled Chhava.

A source told the media portal that Vicky Kaushal made every effort to accommodate both films but couldn't as he was required to sport different looks in both. Moreover, they were set in different periods. The actor then shared his situation with Rohit Shetty, who understood his predicament.

The clash of dates not only affected Vicky's role but also led to a missed opportunity for a casting coup in Singham Again. The film may bring together acclaimed actors like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh. Other actors had allotted their dates for October. It was not possible for them to reschedule their dates. The source added that everyone involved expressed disappointment but agreed to keep the possibility of a future collaboration in mind.

The makers of Singham Again have, meanwhile, issued a statement about the cast. They said that it is to be finalised and assured fans that a proper announcement will be made once everything is in place.
