In an interview with Film Companion, Vijay Varma spoke about his initial reservations about dating someone from the same industry. During his early days in the entertainment business, he harboured doubts about being in a relationship with an actress. However, he said his perspective changed when he met and began dating Tamannaah Bhatia. He said he found significant value in being with someone who not only understood the intricacies of the entertainment world but also had a comprehensive grasp of the "artistic, creative, logistic, and financial" aspects of filmmaking.

"When I started out, I thought I would not be with an actress or anybody from the industry, just because I was probably very angry at the industry. So, when we started seeing each other, I found so much value in having somebody who knows the game," he said.
