Since then, the couple has been in the news for their lovey-dovey appearances whenever they step out on the dates in the city.

Now, in a recent interview, Vijay got candid about his dating life and how his thought process changed over time when he noticed that people were more interested in his love life. He also shared what interests him in their relationship.

In an interview with Mashable India, Vijay shared that he was "shocked" to find people taking interest in his dating life. "Pehle aisa laga ki meri film release se badi news hai so that was a big revealing of how people see things. (..Initially, I felt that it was bigger news than my film being released)," he added.

He further opened up about their bonding and said it is "strong and lovely" and they both enjoy the attention.

Offering more detail about his relationship, the actor shared that their union was destined. The actor originally hails from Hyderabad but for work, he shifted to Mumbai, whereas Tamannaah, who is a Mumbaikar, moved to Hyderabad for work. "Ek hi time par hum log cross hue ek doosre se (We crossed our paths at the same time)," he said.

He praised his girlfriend saying that Tamannaah is fluent in both Telugu and Tamil languages. "So mujhe bahot interesting lagta hai hum dono ka (I find our relationship quite interesting)," he added.
