Vivek Agnihotri on Sunday announced that his film The Vaccine War was ready for theatrical release. The film was supposed to be released on the occasion of Independence Day (August 15), but the makers pushed the date back, citing pending post-production work. Now, it seems he will soon be announcing the release date.

Vivek Agnihotri asks fans to suggest release date

The filmmaker took to his X handle (formerly known as Twitter) and said that he has finally completed The Vaccine War: A True Story. However, now he is wondering when to release it.

"Finally, #TheVaccineWar #ATrueStory is all set to release. It’s your film, please suggest when to release it. People’s film needs people’s advice," read his tweet. Also, he asked netizens to choose between the two release dates - September 28 (clashing with Salaar) or October 13 (India vs Pakistan World Cup Match). 

Fans suggest releasing on September 28

Soon after he shared the tweet, netizens flooded the comment section. A user suggested the director release the film on September 28 and said that releasing the film during the India vs Pakistan match is "not a good idea". Some users suggested he release it either around the Dusshera-Diwali festivals or in December.

Earlier, Vivek Agnihotri, in an exclusive conversation with Republic Digital, addressed the clash reports and said, "Salaar and we are poles apart". He added, "Woh kahan Raja hain, hum rank hain. Woh bhagwaan, they are demi-Gods. We are who? We are ordinary Indian citizens."
