We all lost a friend today: Arjun Kapoor, Kareena, Sidharth-Kiara mourn Matthew Perry's death

Bollywood, such as Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora and Kareena Kapoor, mourned the death of Matthew Perry on social media.

Matthew Perry aka Chandler Bing of the popular American sitcom FRIENDS died on Saturday, October 27, due to an apparent drowning. He was found unresponsive in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home, law enforcement sources to AP. He was 54. Soon after the news broke, celebs, not just in Hollywood but also in Bollywood, such as Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora and Kareena Kapoor, mourned the death on social media.

Indian celebs pay tribute to Matthew Perry

Ranveer Singh took to his Instagram Stories and shared a monochrome picture of Matthew Perry accompanied by an evil eye, folded hands and dove emoticons.

Kareena Kapoor shared a photo of Matthew Perry from FRIENDS and wrote, "Chandler Forever." The post had quotes from Perry that read, "I mean, sure, I have my bad days, but then I remember what a cute smile I have."

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani dropped similar posts on their Instagram Stories with broken heart emoticons.

Arjun Kapoor shared a photo of the late actor on his Instagram Stories revealing that he is feeling "sad and broken". His tribute note read, “We all lost a friend today... I feel sad n broken. Thank u for being a friend to all of us.”

Malaika Arora shared a FRIENDS' poster and wrote "Goodbye Chandler our friend," followed by a heart emoticon." She added "#RIP and #MatthewPerry"

Bhumi Pednekar also shared a monochrome photo and wrote, "No Chandler Bing." She added, "To all his fans (folded hands emoticons) This is so so sad."

Rakul Preet Singh revealed that she is heartbroken in her tribute post to Mathew Perry and added, "Life is so uncertain yet we don't value it enough".  

Athiya Shetty and Bipasha Basu shared a major throwback photo of the late actor with a broken heart emoticon.

All about Matthew Perry

The Emmy-nominated actor made his debut with the TV show 240-Robert in 1979. However, it was in 1994 that he rose to fame owing to his titular character in FRIENDS. Apart from TV shows, he has also appeared in several films such as Three to Tango, 17 Again, Birds of America and The Whole Ten Yards.
