Yaariyan 2 teaser: Divya Khoshla Kumar's jittery bride turns to her cousins for help

Yaariyan 2 starring Divya Khosla Kumar, Meezaan Jaffrey and Pearl V Puri, will release on the big screen on October 20. The film is a coming of age comedy drama that will seemingly narrate the lives of cousins, who try to look past their blood relation to become friends. The teaser of the movie was released by the makers today (August 10).

Yaariyan 2 teaser shows an overwhelmed bride calmed down by her cousins 

Yaariyan 2 makers dropped the teaser of the film today (August 10). The teaser shows Divya Khosla Kumar as a jittery bride, who turns to her brothers to calm her down. What follows is a chaotic wedding followed by a tension-ridden marriage. The visuals take the audience through various emotions of love, heartbreak, friendship and more.
 

Sharing the teaser of the film, the actress-director wrote, “Get ready to go on a journey of family to friends, friends to best friends & best friends picking us up in sad times!” The teaser also gives a sneak peak of the popular song Blue Hai Pani from the first film. The new, reworked version of the song is expected to release soon. 

Yaariyan director Divya Khosla turns protagonist for the sequel 

While Yaariyan 2 is a sequel to the 2014 film, the new movie is just a spiritual addition in the franchise. The story of the two movies do not relate with each other. The upcoming film boasts a new cast composed of Divya Khosla Kumar, Meezaan Jafri and Pearl V Puri. The first poster of the film featured the female lead turning to her brothers for support on her wedding day.

The first film was released in 2014. The movie narrated the lives of five friends who strive to win a competition in order to save their college building from getting demolished. The film was a box office success and was directed by Divya Khosla Kumar, who made her Hindi film directorial debut. It was produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-series label.
