Cher reacts to alleged kidnapping plot against her son Elijah Blue Allman

Cher reiterated her denial of any involvement in an alleged kidnapping plot concerning her son, Elijah Blue Allman, during an interview with The New York Post. The reports initially surfaced in November 2022, claiming that Cher had orchestrated a plan to "kidnap" Allman from a New York City hotel room in an effort to intervene in his life due to divorce and reported drug abuse. Cher remained resolute in her stance, stating, "I didn't do it, and if I did it, I wouldn't say I did it." She declined to provide further details on her son's condition or the allegations but shifted the focus to her role as a mother.

Cher's commitment to her children

Cher emphasised her unwavering commitment to her children, explaining that a mother's love knows no bounds. She expressed, "You never stop being a mom — you go to the end, you go to the mattresses when you’re trying to save your children. But I didn’t do it. And if I did it, I wouldn’t care to tell you."

At present, there is no solid connection between Cher and the alleged kidnapping plot. The claims were initially made by Allman's estranged wife, Marieangela King, in divorce papers filed in December, a month after the alleged incident. Cher has not admitted to any involvement in the matter, and the divorce filing alone does not constitute conclusive evidence.

While Cher's role in the alleged incident remains unproven, a reported friend of the pop icon affirmed that Cher's actions have always stemmed from a place of love. The friend stated, "Cher's kids are the important things in her heart ... I've no doubt that whatever she has done for Elijah has been with the greatest and best intentions possible."
