Paris Hilton opens up about why she opted for surrogacy over natural pregnancy

Actress-celebrity Paris Hilton recently opened up about the reasons for her reservations about using a surrogate for the birth of her kids. Hilton shared that was scared of the surrogacy process because of her trauma as a teenager at school. Paris Hilton went to Utah’s Provo Canyon School for troubled youngsters in 2020.

Hilton spoke about her panic attacks during regular medical procedures

Paris Hilton also spoke in detail about how she was physically, sexually and emotional assaulted at the school, which she attended for nearly a year. Reportedly, Hilton had to undergo a series of nonconsensual gynaecological examinations in which she was pinned down without her consent. 

Hilton also revealed how the authorities at school changed, which led to their convenient shifting of stance on their practices. She stated, “The school previously said that they “do not condone or promote any form of abuse.” A different company later acquired the school. The company said in a statement that they cannot comment on prior “operations of student experience.”

Hilton spoke about her anxiety post the school-experience which led to her feeling panicky whenever she would visit the doctor for the smallest of reasons. Hilton added, “If I’m in a doctor’s office, I get a shot, anything, I will literally have a panic attack and I can’t breathe.”

Natural birthing wouldn’t be healthy for me or the baby, Hilton reflected

Hilton further reflected upon how she had just realised that it would not be healthy either for her or the baby, if someone with ‘such high anxiety’ like Hilton had decided to go for natural birthing process. 

At the same time, Hilton also mentioned that it would have become too overwhelming for her to undergo pregnancy, given her usual working schedules. Hilton added, “My schedule is out of control. There never would’ve been the right time to do it because there’s literally no time to do anything in my life.”

Paris Hilton star welcomed her second child London, in November 2023. Hilton also shares her first child named Phoenix Barron with her husband Carter Reum.
