Chandramukhi 2 falls short on day 2

After opening to good numbers on the first day, Kangana Ranaut starrer seems to have taken a dip on its second day of the release. On Friday, the film earned ₹4.50 crore as per early estimates by Sacnilk. On the first day, the film earned ₹8.25 crore (Tamil: ₹5.58 crore, Telugu: ₹2.5 crore and Hindi: ₹17 lakh). Adding both days' earnings, the figure brings the film's box office collection to ₹12.75 crore.

Our review of Chandramukhi 2

Republic Digital gives 2.5 stars out of 5. An excerpt from the review reads, "Chandramukhi 2 doesn’t deliver either the thrills or the melodrama that became the defining elements of the first film. As a result, the sequel ends up being a disappointing entry into the franchise. Except for the psychological elements, Chandramukhi 2 employs a similar set of tropes as the first installment. Vadivelu is in top form and Raghava Lawrence delivers a few good moments in the flashback sequences that are a good blend of action and drama. However, Vasu's narrative isn't appealing enough for contemporary times."
